Oh Faded Glory
On bended knee, oh how you rest Faded Glory
Your deeds once glorious are now disputed
Unappreciated and reviled by friend and foe alike who shall you turn to in your time of need?
Oh, Faded Glory, Oh Faded Glory!
You've angered your friends whilst your enemies grow stronger
Whatever shall you do?
On bended knee your influence on the world stage is drawing to a close
Your star spangled hat hath fallen to the ground
Your white, curly hair once neat and prim are now so untidy
Your clothes a wreck, your great strength fading...the threats are rising all around you!
On bended knee you lay, consumed by partisan divide you must stay
Enough! You shout! Just pick a way you tell them!
But alas! It is unknown if they will listen to you oh Faded Glory!
A man...a flag...you have many forms
They look to you for leadership Oh Faded Glory
Yet they do not see the mess the bankers made!
Yet they do not see the mess the politicians made!
They do not see how past arrogance hath left you incapacitated by partisan divide
Will you rise to the challenge Oh Faded Glory?!
For if not, who shall save you...oh Faded Glory?!
